I'm Jill Chivers and I'm designing and delivering these open workshops in 2010. I'm the only Australian ever to serve on the Board of the Association of Psychological Type International - the only professional association that guides the ethical use of type. I'm a Certified Professional Facilitator through the International Association of Facilitators, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Facilitators.
I qualified to use the MBTI in 2001 and have been using it consistently since then. For several years I delivered a 1.5day communication/leadership program for Australia's largest institutional bank. I didn't know about type dynamics then and only wish I had.
By 2006, I had started to work more with type dynamics - the first step was to understand more about my own. Knowing I'm an extravert is helpful - knowing that I extravert feeling is like tuning that knowledge into very sharp focus. Type dynamics takes broad knowledge and makes it incredibly useful - instead of it being "just information" it becomes a tool - something you can use.
A career highlight was designing and delivering a two-day leadership program based on the MBTI for senior managers and directors of one of the world's largest professional services firms. We ran this program, titled Leading with Insight, for 4 years until 2009 and it was consistently one of the most popular programs on a curriculum of over 90 courses, with many participants being encouraged to attend by previous attendees.
My own use of type has been inestimably expanded through collaboration/work with international type authors such as Katherine Hirsh, Damien Killen and Sharon Lebovitz Richmond - all CPP Type authors. You can read more about me by visiting here and here.
